Shoreditch Dining: Maison Trois Garcons

cafe_home

If you were to walk outside of Maison Trois Garcons, you would be unsure as to whether it’s a restaurant or boutique shop. We were lucky enough to be invited in to dine at what turned out to be a café and to enjoy their unique atmosphere in the heart of Shoreditch. From the same group as Lounge Lover and Les Trois Garcons, there was no doubt that this place would be great.

When we arrived we soon discovered that the café was also a lifestyle shop and everything that is on display is available to be bought: the artwork on the walls and the bags on the shelves, the ornaments in the cabinets. The ambiance was fantastic, with the back room lit up with a large skylight and various pieces of art hanging from the walls.

With the menus at the café being seasonal we were just in time to try out their new range of Autumn dishes, from the cool homemade cordials to the scrumptious sandwiches and cakes. All food is available to eat in as well as take out, including their homemade teas.Counter service was at its best, with amazing presentation of all the food, when it came down to choosing what to eat from the wide range of freshly made sandwiches, the soup of the day, hot food and salads, we were spoilt for choice. Between us we got a selection of dishes; meat balls, Croque Madame and chicken, served with a side salad. All the meals tasted great and were ideal sizes. For dessert we were offered a platter of the chefs specialties; gluten free coffee cake, brownies and carrot cake, our options were endless but by the end of our feast we were too full to finish the dessert, so we took it home for later (we wouldn’t dream of wasting such deliciousness!). All the food was amazingly presented and made to an excellent standard. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly which made  dining under their supervision very pleasant.

Overall the dining experience at the Maison Trois Garcons was really great! The attention to detail in all of the food, the interior, the packaging and the items being sold were brilliant. Since opening in May this year, Maison Trois Garcons has taken it’s vintage shop and turned it into a great spot for lunch, brunch coffee and tea. Open from 8am to 7pm it’s a perfect place to go and grab a quick and scrumptious bite to eat; whether you want to eat in or take out! Definitely a must try!
