You might not want to be reminded of this – but the 90s were a long time ago. Over a decade ago in fact, and as the years have slipped by, our favourite TV and film characters have changed a few times over. As we’ve been recently rekindling our memories of the decade by watching the leading TV shows of the decade on LOVEFiLM’s Instant 90’s TV collection we thought we take a look at what the decades leading stars are doing now.

Macaulay Culkin

Known as Mack to his friends, Home Alone made Culkin one of the most famous kids on the planet. Although his film career has made him a millionaire many times over, Home Alone remains his most famous role. The films that followed generally flopped, and Macaulay disappeared from public view, until photos of a thin, pale faced young man appeared in the media some years later, hinting at substance abuse. He married the actress Rachel Miner in 1998, but the couple have since divorced.

Mayim Bialik

Mayim started her acting career playing the title role in the sitcom Blossom, and since then has enjoyed great television success. She has also worked with Woody Allen in Don’t Drink The Water, and alongside her television career also managed to achieve a PhD in Neuroscience, making her current role as Amy Fowler on the phenomenal Big Bang Theory a well-deserved one. She is now married, and has a son, aged two.

Lindsey Lohan

Lindsey’s career started when she was only three, and looks set to continue into her thirties as she is planning to release a studio album, co-produced by James Hince from The Kills. Lindsey began modelling aged three, and made her cinematic debut in 1998 with The Parent Trap, which won her her first award. She joined the celebrity A-list after the success of Mean Girls, and went off the rails, culminating in a prison sentence and numerous stays in rehab. She is now working on a book about her life, and her forthcoming album.

Alfonso Ribeiro

Alfonso appeared in The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and made bad dancing so cool it almost hurt. He was the butt of a lot of jokes, and you could never quite tell if you liked him or not…These days Alfonso is still pals with Will Smith, and has taken on the rather glamorous job of presenting poker shows. Who knew?
