Word of mouth has reached London this week, telling us about a brand-new and surprising concept launching on iPhone and Android.
We first thought it to be a rumor… But as it turns out, it’s not!
So we wanted to be the first to share the news:
A new app, called happn, allows you to find and meet the people you’ve crossed paths with.
It’s the very first dating app to use geolocation in real-time! It was designed to answer a universal desire: when you’ve missed the chance to approach someone that has caught your eye, you can now find that person again.
How many times have two people not found the courage or simply missed the chance to talk to each other because the situation just wasn’t favourable? I’m sure we all have a story of an unfortunate missed connection in mind.
How does it work? It’s as easy as can be: every time you bump into someone in real life, their profile appears on your app! If you both fancy each other, you can start a conversation.
The app is a true innovation as it takes hold in people’s real lives and in their everyday experiences first, before putting a bit of chance and magic back into the virtual!
When you cross paths with someone you fancy, you can:
→ Either secretly LIKE them, or send a CHARM to let them know you’re interested!
→ If you both fancy each other, you have a CRUSH, allowing you to start a conversation straight away.
A special message to all the ladies: as everything is based on reciprocity, you’ll never ever receive messages from people you’re not interested in.
Let’s also be clear about one thing: the app is completely secure as your location is never visible to the other members! Only the location of where you have passed each other is saved. You have to try it to believe it, but happn has succeeded in taking advantage of geolocation services in a completely healthy and confidential way.
We’ve downloaded the app a few days ago, and we’ve already been able to assess its efficiency… But we shall not reveal too much for the time being:
