Foodies Festival Christmas at Truman Brewery

Roasted Venison Haunch - Kim Woodward

Enjoy a food and fun filled day out with Foodies Festival, the UK’s largest food and drink festival, as it puts on its Christmas jumper and celebrates the festive season with London’s top chefs, best street food and lots of local artisan producers, all under one roof at the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane, Friday 28th, Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th November.

You can look forward to inspiration and tips from London’s top chefs including Masterchef winner and East London chef Natalie Coleman; Michelin star chefs Robert Ortiz of Lima and Tony Fleming of Angler; head chef of The Corinthia Garry Hollihead; Matt Robinson from The Bluebird and vegan blogger Little Miss Meat Free – who will all share their favourite festive recipes in the Chefs Theatre to help you create the perfect Christmas feast.

Head to the Cake and Bake Theatre where Great British Bake Off winner John Whaite and series 4 Bake Off favourite Glenn Cosby will be baking up a storm with hands-on masterclasses; while the King and Queen of sweets, Miss Hope and Mr Greenwood, share their confectionary secrets from their recent BBC series ‘Sweets Made Simple’. There is also an Elfs Cookery School for kids.

Chocolate Theatre

Be inspired at the Pudding Hall, a haven of festive treats with pâtissiers and chocolatiers selling eggnog tarts, marzipan bonbons and macaroons alongside a life-sized Gingerbread House and Candy Kittens – Jamie Laing from Made in Chelsea’s designer confectionary range.

Take a beer and food matching masterclass with Melissa Cole at the brand new Craft Beer and Spirits Theatre and get advice on the best festive buys in the Wine & Champagne Theatre from Charles Metcalfe and Neil Phillips.

Hungry? Take a seat at the Feasting Table and tuck into London’s best street food from the surrounding Street Food Courtyard. There is also a Cheese Village with international cheese makers, a Producers Grotto stuffed with artisan produce to sample and have gift wrapped, a Vintage Tea & Cake Room with live jazz and swing and a Ski Bar serving mulled wine, cider and après ski cocktails.

With Christmas quizzes hosted by this year’s The Apprentice contestant Daniel Lassman, a Christmas Jumper Photo Booth, ceilidh dancing, carol singing and live music from the acoustic stage – Foodies Festival Christmas offers the perfect day out with friends this festive season.
