Fluttr – The New Party Network Everyone Is Talking About

Article 1 Image

We’ve just heard about this soon-to-be-launched start-up that puts together the coolest kids in town to exchange recommendations for the best nights out in London.

The guys behind Fluttr have been secretly running an app for a few weeks. They just wanted to get their friends on it to receive early feedback while developing the product, but ended up with thousands of downloads in just a few days.

They say that it allowed them to better understand what their friends (and friends of friends of friends…) were really missing on their quest to discover the best parties in London.

We caught up with James Kay – one of the founders – to find out more, “the whole thing got a little bit out of control. We weren’t expecting so many people to get on it that quickly.”

The Shoreditch-based start-up has a simple objective – make sure people never miss a night out that they would have loved. They are convinced that the best events are always those recommended by friends and people who know their s**t about music. This is what Fluttr is all about.

“We are extremely grateful to all of our users who have been sharing events on the app in the last few weeks and for their patience. To be honest, the app was simply supposed to be a prototype when we first put it on the app store but people seemed to love it and sent us loads of feedback to help us improve.”

The new app and website are almost ready and will be launched very soon (we did not manage to get a precise date from them, even after a few shots of Tequila).

These young entrepreneurs have decided to make their platform strictly invite-only. You’ll have to beg someone you know to invite you if you want to be part of the network. That being said, you can reserve your place now on www.gofluttr.com.

“Everyone already using the app will have priority access to the platform. We only want people who have a true passion for music and nights out to be our first users. This is why we think our current users are in the best position to decide who should join the community”, says James.
