Fortunately Amsterdam start-up and innovators Poopy Pets have just launched their eco-friendly, 100% biodegradable not to mention rather impeccably designed Poopy Cat litter box and litter in the UK – taking the mess out of your cat’s mess.
Basically, after ordering for a month’s supply, you’ll receive four flat pack boxes complete with enclosed litter that can be popped open, used by your kitty and one week later popped into the compost lock, stock and lot resulting in one part eco, one part ease of use, one part peace of mind and one hundred percent awesome. And bucking the trend of eco-conscious innovations not being totally eco-friendly, be that through their sourcing of materials or delivery systems – Poopy Pets have covered it all. With the boxes themselves being made from the leftovers of wood processing to the delivery routes being configured to minimize carbon footprint, it’s possibly the most fashionably cat conscious decision one can make outside of dining at the Cat Café. At a cost of five pounds per week, it’s unsurprising that it’s already picked up a considerable fan base throughout mainland Europe where poop isn’t such a taboo subject.
Of course with the UK – and London rather notably – being squeamish about all things poop related, it will take a considerable push (pardon me) to get through.
