As we see the growing popularity of vinyls creeping back into modern music culture, it seems only fitting to have an accompanying device to play them from. This is where Israel-based designer, Roy Harpaz comes in. He puts a modern spin (literally) on the classic vinyl player. By creating a device that allows the vinyls to be played vertically rather than the traditional horizontal stance, it creates an elegant and sleek design that looks futuristic and allows users to display their favourite vinyls. The device works by scanning through the record so that the player can find different points in a song to enable the listener to skip tracks, which brings the device into the modern day world of music technology. This unique retro design makes for a great accessory for any vinyl lover, whilst retaining the history we all know and love about this form of music.
