Viewers can now explore the work of Salvador Dalí, one of the most famous surrealist painters in the world, in real life…well almost.
The Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida is now offering “Dreams of Dalí,” in which visitors can fully immerse themselves in a 360-degree virtual reality recreation of his “Archaeological Reminiscence of Millet’s ‘Angelus'” painting. Viewers can enter the towers and float around Dalí’s surrealist landscapes. There also will be surprises that are not included in the painting, providing an interactive experience for those who are interested in Dalí’s work.
The viewer cannot totally control the experience but they are able to determine which way to look. Now Dalí’s painting can be transformed into living works, something he would have throughly enjoyed himself.
