Today, money means everything. Well, to some people.
Yurko Dyachyshyn takes this idea and turns the all-mighty dollar into a religious symbol. In his new series Saint Franklin, turns the founding father into an actual deity. He takes famous religious paintings and replaces iconic the figures, such as Jesus and the virgin Mary, with former United States President Benjamin Franklin. Thomas Jefferson and George Washington also make an appearance as baby Jesus or even sometimes little angels. Dyachyshyn decided to create this project after his realization that the entire world revolves around money, the amount or the lack of it. He then decided that money was really the world’s one true common religion.
