Photography allows us to enter a world that wouldn’t necessarily exist in reality, whether it be because of perspective or the actual digital alteration from the artist.
Photographer Erik Johansson doesn’t capture images; he captures ideas. The Swedish photographer collects material to then find ideas that exist in the modern world. He uses both his camera and photoshop to evoke the meaning he intended in a realistic way. Each piece is a complex combination of images and alterations to invite the viewer to think about his intentions.
