Looking for new bathroom floors?
Danish artist Pernille Snedker Hansen uses a marbling technique to create exquisite designs on wood which later is used to make stunning wooden floors. Hansen carefully dips the wood into paint, using ideas from Turkish influence but also from the Japanese Sumigashi, which lets the pattern be created by natural elements such as wind, movement and time. She likes to use wood because the rings allow the paints to mimic paints movement of time, echoing the growth of nature. Not only does she use wood for floors, but she also frames a lot of stunning work.
