An exhibition featuring art related to football is scheduled to open from 9 June- 12 June in Hoxton. Group Stage exhibition will coincide with the opening weekend of the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament in France.
Selected artists and designers from across the world are featured with works ranging from graphic design to illustration to fine art and photography. A majority of these artists will be attending the event for at least one of the days during the exhibition to mingle with attendees.
Patterns of Play created the Group Stage exhibition to represent football art that happens off the field. The group believes that creativity not only happens in the game, but can also outside of it using different mediums.
The exhibition was first debuted last year in Norwich. This year the exhibition will be centered around the Euro tournament including tributes to the players, nations, history, culture and other iconic moments. The focus will be on Euro tournaments in the past as well as the one that will be going on during that weekend.
Throughout the event there will be artwork pieces and prints available for purchase. There will also be a charity auction for a range of prizes including signed memorabilia. The proceeds will go to the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK.
