The Frog E1 restaurant has partnered with a tea brand, Newby Teas to give guests a new tasting experience when eating their food. The Kombucha and tea paired tasting menu is something different from wine and craft beer food pairing. Chef Adam Handling and his team noticed that there have been pairings for food involving alcoholic drinks, but wanted to offer a different option for guests that would still increase the flavor of the food. With Development Chef Jamie Parks leading the way for the new menu, the restaurant is ready to unveil the alternative and non-alcoholic way to enjoy mid-week lunches.

The menu works with how soft or even hot drinks have the ability to enhance food in the same sense that wine and beer does. Guests can expect a crab and apple dish that is accompanied by a jasmine kombucha. This will then be followed by a hake and limestone dish that is accompanied by a flowering tea. To wrap everything up, the team will serve guests an Assam tea consommé that is accompanied with roast lamb and black garlic.

All the items featured on the menu will be created at The Frog E1 using Newby’s teas as the flavors the team is working around. Chef Adam Handling said “I believe that if your tummy is happy, then you’re set for a good day. That’s why Jamie, my development chef, began developing and creating kombuchas.” The new menu will be available from 12th July to 30th July during both lunch and dinner.
