(Don’t) be a baby! Cristian Girotto takes the Inner Child to another level

Everyone always says we should be childish sometimes, even when we grow up. Some say that the never-ending enthusiasm, happiness and spontaneity of our younger-ourselves should always be present within, to give our lives that bit more of magic that used to surround us when we were kids.

What would happen if our inner child could also be visible from the outside, we wonder?

Cristian Girotto, an Italian photographer and retoucher based in Paris, developed his project “L’Enfant Extérieur” (The Outer Child) along these lines. With a mainly post-production work, he edited several portraits of adults with Photoshop, giving them the rounder, more spontaneous features of children.

These are our favourite kid-adults (or old-children?), but you can check more of this work (and other amazing ones) from Cristian Girotto on his Facebook page or website.
