Smokey Tail’s midwestern tastes with unique flavours

The pop-up restaurant traveled from Melbourne, Sydney, Miami, Amsterdam, and now located permanently in Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen. With a mixture of Midwestern flavours from creator Seth Troxler’s family recipes and exotic combinations, the food experience gives bold tastes for anyone looking for a good and hearty meal.

The restaurant recommends for its customers to order from the mains, salads and side dishes to get the full dining experience. While the cuisine is rooted in Midwestern tastes, the restaurant adds its own style to classics by creating unique mixtures of flavours. This is especially true when it comes to the salads. Each salad features a multitude of fresh vegetables that are mixed together beautifully. One salad worth trying is a slow roasted tomato, burrata, peppers and smoked croutons mixture. The combination drizzled with a flavorful dressing added freshness to the meal. Another salad worth trying involves charred greens, cashew nuts, lemon grass and ginger dressing. The charred greens were a nice light touch to the meal that helped soften the palate with its refreshing dressing.

For mains, Seth Troxler’s grandmother left her mark on the restaurant with her fried chicken. Going to Smokey Tails and not ordering the chicken is a mistake. Chicken is one dish that can go dry quick, but that wasn’t the case for the fried chicken. There is the perfect amount of juice to the chicken which is coated in a mouthwatering skin. For a taste of good, Midwestern BBQ, the rack of pork ribs is the way to go. Smoked and slathered in BBQ sauce, the ribs bring Kansas City tastes to London.

Smokey Tails recently unveiled a new lunch option during the week called the Smokey Tails BBQ Picnic. Launched on National Picnic and priced at £9 per person, the lunch option offers a mixture of vegetarian and BBQ options for anyone looking to say goodbye to the standard sandwich option.  For diners wanting to enjoy the comforts of the restaurant during a weekday lunch, people can stop in for a ‘Meat and Two Veg’ option priced at priced at £11. With the amount of options and tastes that the restaurant provides, the meal will be worth the trip to Hoxton Square.
