Independent Photography Festival 2017 is coming back to London

Danylevskoho Street, Donetsk, May 2014

Founded in Melbourne in 2012, the Independent Photography Festival (IPF) is an annual multi-city celebration of the application and practice of photography. The festival aims to introduce autonomous, passionate and progressive photographers who are creating for the love of shooting and shooting for the love of creating.

The IPF is making its way back to a fully renovated House of Vans this May, along with the coveted 2017 Photo Prize announcement. Photographers, photo enthusiasts and photo-makers of all descriptions and disciplines in all parts of the world are invited to submit images for this collaborative exhibition. Those wanting to take part can read the submission guidelines and enter via the IPF’s website.

Kicking off IPF celebrations globally, this photographic showcase will be on display for an exclusive 3-week run at House of Vans. During the period there will be a series of creative Print-a-tee workshops held on the 6th, 13th & 20th May, where the creative minds behind IPF and Studio K will assist you in jazzing up a blank shirt by screen printing a selection of images onto the garment. There will also be multiple film screenings throughout the period around the theme of photography, hosted in House of Vans’ on site cinema.
