Just in time for the early May bank holiday weekend, award winning Hackney institution Night Tales relaunches today with its glorious sun-drenched terrace (and biggest in East London) and nightclub. Three days of celebrations will signal the official start of summer with cold drinks flowing and street food from Mama’s Jerk, Nanny Bill’s and Sons Of Slice by day and an incredible music programme by night featuring the likes of Soul Clap, Theo Kottis, Paramida, Grainger & Friends and more.
Indulging in the nations love of street food culture, Night Tales are hosting a delicious offering of the best London traders around this summer. Mama’s Jerk will be on hand serve authentic Caribean food including their fiery Jerk BBQ Chicken Wings and Jerk Fries, while Nanny Bill’s’ mouthwatering hand-pressed burgers and indulgent croquettes are set to be a firm favourite. Son’s Of Slice will also be serving up their signature New York style pizzas for those looking to share (or not!). Expect collaborations, cook-offs, special dishes and more from these street food titans.
To help wash down the moreish food offering, Night Tales offers an extensive drinks menu with something for everyone. The Garden Spritz Bar offers a list of sunshine-inspired spritz cocktails available in punch bowls for sharing including the refreshing Hackney Spritz (Gin, Lillet, Peach Bitters, Thyme, Grapefruit). Meanwhile, the Club Frozen Bar will offer a cool twist on summer favourites including frozen negronis, frozen iced tea, gin and peach punch and frozen chilli and coriander mezcal margaritas. For those less cocktail-inclined, Night Tales also offers an array of craft beers, refreshing rosés, out-there orange wines and top-shelf Japanese whiskies, tequilas and mezcals to sup in the sunshine.
Night Tales has previously played host to the likes of Skream, Artwork, Craig Richards, Tim Sweeney and more. With a newly curated summer musical programme, the first long days in May will descend into sweaty summer nights with performances from the likes of Soul Clap, Theo Kottis, Catz ‘N Dogz, Aeroplane, Alex Metric, Krywald & Farrer, Nick Höppner, Martyn and many more.
