Hiko Momoji has released the music video for recent single ‘self-test’.
The music video sees the UK native driving around the London streets late at night, zooming past landmarks such as the London Eye. The quick, rapid cuts and strobe light effects match the track’s own high-intensity feel.
“self-test is really just about testing yourself, you always gotta keep yourself on your toes and analyze and test yourself”, Hiko explains. “Why you doing this? Why am I behaving this way? Once you do that, you’ll learn a lot you didn’t before”.
Hiko, who grew up in London, was inspired by electronic heavyweights Daft Punk & Calvin Harris while finding his own sound within the music industry, as well as learning what spoke to him as an artist. In 2017, he had his big breakthrough when producing for Khalid’s debut album, American Teen – which would later see him earn a Grammy Award nomination for his work on the record.
