Traditional Chinese art is one of Hua Tunan‘s artistic talents. Chinese ink art is his specialty. Tunan combines the traditional art form with a contemporary one: Western art graffiti. Combined, Tunan creatively splashed ink onto the Chinese ink art.
The Chinese-style portraits of traditional animals are splashed with color. Each animal holds a symbolic meaning in Chinese art. By using bright colors splashed on, Tunan gives a sense of movement to the animals. Most importantly, they take on a wildness that is so essential to animals like owls, tigers and eagles.
