Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon doesn’t want to be famous anytime soon…

Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon has shared his first single of 2021, “Mama, I Don’t Wanna Go To Nashville”.

The track sees Jeremiah denouncing the high-profile, celebrity side of the music industry, or as he calls it, “the fame machine”. “If I never see how famous I can be, I’ll be just be fine” he hums over a gentle acoustic guitar melody.

Competing on American Idol 2019, Jeremiah captured the hearts of the nation through his heartfelt performances which saw him reach the show’s top 6 contestants. He sung alongside Katy Perry and Broadway star Cynthia Erivo, and even received praise from the great Elton John, who described Jeremiah’s cover of his song “We All Fall In Love Sometimes” as “taking his breath away”. It’s perhaps this experience with the reality TV show that has shaped and influenced his words on this one…
