Water is one of the most powerful forces in the world. It surrounds us, moves us and keeps us alive.
In photographer Pierre Carreau’s series “AquaViva” series, he explores the power of water compared to human emotion. He sees water as a single symbol of everything we feel, going through cycles of darkness and light. Water is ever changing, which is clearly depicted in his work. Each image evokes a different emotion depending on the viewer. Carreau found this fascinating and wanted each image to mimic how we, as humans, feel through our lives. These moments of exquisite beauty are often paired with moments of inconceivability.
