Photographer Giorgio Cravero captures the beauty of fruit

Food can be both stunning forms of art or repulsive moldy rubbish.

Photographer Giorgio Cravero explores this concept of food being many things at once by digitally draining the color from produce in his images. He explores the idea of how humans are interested in the appearance of food rather than where it came from or the taste of it. He created these images by using tempera paint and Photoshop. Each fruit was dipped in the pigment that most aligned with its own hue and then captures the perfect dip with photoshop. By doing so, he is visually protesting the commercialism of the food industry and argues to revert back to traditional food production ways.
