St. James’s Church Piccadilly is hosting the 2023 Piccadilly Piano Festival. The piano festival has various emerging and established artists performing and showcasing their talents. The festival goes on for three weeks. It begins on 3rd February with performances until 23rd February.
St. James’s embraces inclusivity and diversity by presenting opportunities for emerging and established artists like Jools Holland, John Grant, Tokio Myers, Derek Paravicini, Melvyn Tan and Victoria Canal.
Each artist has an interest and musical background in various genres like jazz, classical, electronic music and alternative pop. Each artist will be performing on St. James’s famous Faziolo Grand Piano. Former BBC Young Musician Finalist Adam Heron will perform pieces from Elgar, Brahms and Chopin. Derek Paravincini and Professor Adam Ockelford focus on the relationship between musical ability and neurodiversity and visual impairment during their performance.
Established artists like John Grant and Melvyn Tan are set to perform. John Grant is an inventive artist accompanied by vocalists from the LCV Choir and Faultress. Melvyn Tan will perform classical pieces from Mozart, Schumann and Ravel. He is known for his poetic and elegant musical abilities.
Many more artists are set to perform over three weeks during the month of February until 23rd February during the 2023 Piccadilly Piano Festival.
