We sat down with Raffaele Martirani, the Roman mastermind behind Panoram, whose genre-defying soundscapes have captivated the global IDM community for over a decade. With over a million streams and nods from tastemakers like Pitchfork and The Vinyl Factory, Panoram’s irreverent creations blur the lines between abstract pop, hazy lounge, and cyborg funk. Whether performing with Amen Dunes at iconic festivals like Primavera Sound or releasing labyrinthine synth odysseys on labels like Firecracker and Running Back, Panoram’s music remains as elusive as it is entrancing. His latest track, ‘What It Means’ which is out via Wandering Eye is a playful, self-aware journey into the sonic unknown, evoking the spirit of Squarepusher, Aphex Twin, and Vangelis.
