Kangol introduce its exclusive collaboration with one of the most prolific contemporary urban artists of his generation, D*Face. In 2005 D*Face set up the gallery ‘StolenSpace’, which continues to be London’s foremost contemporary urban art gallery. In 2010 he created the artwork for Christina Aguilera’s number one selling album ‘Bionic’, (Christina has been a long time collector of D*Face’s work). Most recently D*Face made a return visit to the Ridiculous Pool in San Bernardino, where he debuted a unique technique combining his love of skateboarding with live painting. The event was ecorded and has since been featured on websites and TV shows around the globe. To date it has received 755,691 independent views on youtube, a figure that keeps climbing, seemingly alongside D*Face’s restless ambitions and popularity.
D*Face’s exclusive collaboration with Kangol has resulted in the eclectic and colourful Earlap Knit Wing Jacquard hat available in 4 colours Oatmeal, Multi, Camo and Black. The chunky style is topped with a pompom and lined with soft boucle fleece – the perfect winter warmer. Added detailing includes functioning buttons on the peak and a wire edge detail so that the earlaps can be bent and adjusted to be worn up or down. The signature D*Face crossed wing and metal punk pin, Rebel Alliance and Black Kangol Woven labels finish this unique hat which is available at the Kangol Boxpark store and online from September.
