Brick Lane is still London’s densest vintage-shopping street, but the map has changed. Beyond Retro closed its Cheshire Street warehouse in 2024, and its London shops are now in Dalston and Coal Drops Yard. This guide lists vintage shops and markets in Shoreditch and Brick Lane checked against their own websites in October 2026.
Shops
Rokit has two shops on Brick Lane. The chain started in Camden and also has a flagship in Covent Garden.
Atika, 55 to 59 Hanbury Street, E1 5JP. Ready-to-wear vintage, close to Spitalfields, with new stock added daily.
Vintage Basement, 7 Cheshire Street. Vintage clothing on the quieter street off the top of Brick Lane.
Markets
Brick Lane Vintage Market, F Block, 85 Brick Lane. The Truman Brewery calls it the largest vintage market in the UK, with more than 100 shops, from 1920s eveningwear to Y2K streetwear. Open every day: 11am to 6.30pm on weekdays, 11am to 6pm on Saturday and 10am to 6pm on Sunday.
The Tea Rooms, next to 146 Brick Lane. Antiques, homeware, rare books, vinyl and retro furniture on Saturdays (11am to 6pm) and Sundays (10am to 6pm).
Backyard Market, 146 Brick Lane. Weekend stalls with fashion and vintage among the makers.
Old Spitalfields Market trades seven days a week, with fashion and design stalls alongside food.

Paper Dress Vintage is now at 352a Mare Street, Hackney, E8 1HR, combining a vintage shop with a bar and live music venue.
Tips
Weekday mornings are quietest on Brick Lane. Sunday is busiest because the markets all trade, and Columbia Road Flower Market is a 15-minute walk north. Shoreditch High Street station is closest.
