Made in Shoreditch: Music Factory – Battle Of You

BOY-Pink-300dpiChampioning their own breed of Alternative Pop, BATTLE OF YOU stand between the light and dark of love and pop music.

With a striking and urgent live performance, BATTLE OF YOU have been compared to artists such as Gossip, Bowie and The Cure for their strong androgynous image and raw, instinctive sound.

An explosive 2012 saw them catapulted onto the airwaves of BBC Radio 6 (Tom Robinson – BBC Introducing) and Absolute Radio (Pete Donaldson – Sunday Night Music Club) and being handpicked by Emerging Icons (Universal) to perform at the London 2012 Games as one of their ‘Best Acts of 2012’.

Alongside playing to the crowds of the Paralympic Games, BATTLE OF YOU also captured the attention of notable media including the BBC News who featured their performance at the Paralympics on the 6 O’clock news.

BATTLE OF YOU spent the rest of 2012 spreading their battles to the audiences of 02 Islington Academy2, Scala and 100 Club and the dance-floors of Proud Camden, Queen of Hoxton and Candy Bar.

2013 finds BATTLE OF YOU surfacing from the studio with their self titled DEBUT EP. Produced by Coen Dingemans & Gary Wallis (Pink Floyd, Mike & The Mechanics, Girls Aloud) available on all digital platforms and physical.

This 6 track debut is a full on and intense introduction to a band making serious waves. Their floor filling and heart beating DEBUT SINGLE ‘Rebecca’ sees the band explore the trickery and illusion of love and betrayal; and rides with the indie pop guitars, synths and bold vocals the band are loved for.

With a music video to follow from Plenty.tv (MTV, SONY) and a summer full of shows including Beach Break Live 2013, BATTLE OF YOU have high hopes for the future and where their battles will take them next.
