Is This Fur Real: Bespoke Cat Furniture

If you ever thought that you weren’t spoiling your kitties enough, then you can definitely up your game with Goldtatze’s bespoke creations.

Designer and carpenter Stephen Hoffman was inspired to start this business when he decided to make some walkways around his apartment to give his cat Mowgli some more room to play around.

Goldtatze translates into gold paw, which is fitting when you consider the craftmanship gone into these products. They include suspended walkways, climbing columns, hammocks and trees, which can then be made into different combinations. The materials are carefully chosen and explained in the description for each product.

While you might think it’s a weird business idea, their aim to move away from ‘faceless mass production’ to create unique and artistic crafts is definitely admirable. I can also imagine endless hours spent watching your cats running around and doing stupid things on them, so it’s a bonus for everyone involved.

Prices range from 30-2000 Euros for single pieces plus shipping, which is a pretty penny to be spending on animals known to be fickle. Let’s face it, they might love the cardboard box it came in just as much.
