Tell us about what you do? What did inspire you to start your channel?
I’m a fashion video blogger. I scope out fashion events or brands that I think are exciting and share my discoveries via YouTube episodes on my blog: The Wandering White Rabbit.
I started my channel a few years ago when I was a music reporter in Ibiza. People enjoyed the style of my videos and I always felt like I should be creating more content as YouTube is such a huge phenomenon now, it’s crazy not to be involved if you want to get ahead. I have a camera, know how to edit, love presenting and am obsessed with fashion, so I decided to bite the proverbial bullet and start a fashion video blog. It’s a great excuse to go shopping too.
What is unique about your fashion blog/channel?
I’m a fashion vlogger and there are many of us so I try to deliver something a bit different. It’s not just me talking to camera taking you through my day or showing you my favourite fashions. I like to include interviews and chat with as many different characters as I can, from the designers to the local nutters and everyone in-between. For me, I feel this brings the story alive. Oh and also The Rabbit. Don’t forget the rabbit! She started as a bit of fun in Burning Man (where the whole idea was born) and quickly became my official mascot. People love her wherever she goes.
Who are your favourite Youtubers?
Oh lord I love loads of different ones. Spoof make up tutorials have been cracking me up at the moment. Also I’m a sucker for “animals saving the day” videos. I like watching other bloggers who I stumble across randomly to see what weird and wonderful things they are sharing. I really admire YouTubers like Tanya Burr and Zoella – what they have achieved is incredible and shows you just how powerful and influential the platform has become. Oh and Tavi Gevinson from Style Rookie astounds me with how much she has achieved so young through YouTube and blogging – the list is endless!
What are your favourite businesses in Shoreditch?
Wasted Chic is amazing. It’s a pop up fashion sale held in McQueen in Shoreditch every few months. Really cool up and coming designers, cocktails, music.. it’s heaven.
Borderline on Brick Lane is one of a kind in the area. Pieces you wont find anywhere else. Larry Tee has a clothing line called Tzuji and they stock it there -awesomeness galore
This is not fashion, but I have to mention Dishoom. Best. Curry. Ever.
What are your future plans?
I would love to have my own fashion TV show eventually. I’m going to keep video blogging; striving to make each episode more fun and entertaining and just continue having a blast with the rabbit.
