Rusty Boat are a four piece band from islington North London who have been gigging impressively since they were formed just over two years ago in the summer of 2011. In that short time they have played with some of the best acts in the business on bills that include Annie Mac, supporting The Rifles at East London super venue the Troxy as well as playing all the right club nights such as the indie industry’s feeder club night This Feeling. The likes of former NME journalist and current Shortlist editor Hamish Mcbain have taken note due to catchy anthems such as lead balloon and drainpipe. They will be launching a single shortly and will be celebrating by headlinng Scala kings cross, a night that will include DJ sets from Bloc Party’s Russell Lissack and Alt J’s Gus. The new single is called Headline news and this is exactly what this foursome will be aiming to make over the coming year.
