Pics: Interview With Photographer Peter Kemp

G: Tell us about what you do.

I am  freelance photographer and with my photos I present little stories – story telling pictures. My inspiration is mainly paintings and drawings.

G: What is innovative about what you do?

My photography captures some surreal situations that are awkward. Featuring models dressed in vintage period clothing, each picture seems to vibrate with an uneasy tension that is completely intentional on the artist’s part.

G: What were your most successful projects/exhibitions so far or what projects did you enjoy the most so far?

My series called Meer Verminder. It was inspired by Dutch painter Vermeer. It was done together with the Vermeer centre in Delft – Holland In 2012. I was a finalist at the Hasselblad Masters Competition and in the same year I was nominated among 10 best conceptual photographers.

G: Tell us a bit more about your current project?

Working on a project with children in the middle ages.

G: What are your future plans?

Stay as Healthy as possible and Create.
