Tell us about the project? What did inspire you to start?

Basically, we had this idea of getting our own space and building everything with our own hands, a space where friends could hang out and eat great food. Also, the idea was to create a space for different events that we always wanted to do such as bingo night , cinema night, live music night, music workshops, Jazz night, comedy stand up and many more.

G: What is unique about your project?

It’s a unique space because we created everything with our own hands and you can feel that the place has a soul as soon as you come inside. Our building has very high ceilings, it is very spacious and it is by the canal which makes it so unique. Most of the furniture is made from recycled wood. Also, we don’t charge for the entry to our events, so everyone is welcome.

G: What would you say has been your most memorable experience while developing this project?

It was the day that we were breaking the walls to make the 4 meters window doors facing the canal and when all the walls were finally broken – the day light just started shining inside the venue as I’ve never seen before. It was beautiful.

G: Why did you choose Hackney Wick?

It’s because we have been in Hackney Wick for so many years that we couldn’t see ourselves in any other part of London.

G: What are your favorite places in the area?

The whole canal side I guess … The most relaxed and beautiful place you can find in Hackney Wick.

G: What does the future has in store for you and Hackney Wick?

I’m not sure what is coming in the future but the only thing I can tell you is that we are just doing everything we love the most.
