Ladies and gentlemen, be ready for the best birthday party in town taking place all over the weekend at Number 90 Bar & Kitchen, the beautiful canal-side venue in Hackney Wick.
To celebrate its 4th anniversary, Number 90 is taking it up a notch, organising not less than a mini-festival along 4 days, from Thursday 1st of March to Sunday the 4th. Expect live music, special guest DJs, talks, live art murals, jam sessions, vintage clothes stalls and prizes, apart from delicious food and drinks offerings.
Each day is different and dedicated to a special theme related to the world of music, art and dance.
On Thursday 1st of March, a bunch of live bands, in line with the World Music Day theme of the evening, will make you sweat and dance all night long at the rhythm of their jazzy, funky and gipsy sounds. Friday evening is the turn of Womb 2: Women of Music Business, an event to celebrate women in music, art, fashion and business. Dance shows, talks from women in the music industry, film screening, DJ technique workshops will inspire and entertain your inner female spirit.
On Saturday 3rd of March is time for the big party. The BLOCK PARTY starts during the day, on the canal-side terrace. None other than the dance music legend Norman Jay, the so-called ‘Godfather of club culture’ will bring his signature sound for two special performances, during the day at the Number 90’s very own party bus before moving inside until very late. Expect other performers, Piñatas and magic tricks!
Sunday, the final day of the festivities, is focused on showcasing an assortment of live music talents, from The Pop-Up Choir to the soul band Re.Wind, from open jam session to live electronic set from This is A Recording.
You won’t be left high and dry: throughout the weekend, Number 90 will also launch its new summer menu full of burgers and salads!
