Using just pencil and acrylics, Japanese artist and painter Maki Ohkojima illustrates beautifully massive murals that feature nature in its most exquisite form. The artists imagines the wild in its raw form, without boundaries and naturally sprawling. Her artwork is often displayed as a color-canvas on a wall but with the surrounding area as a continuation of her original piece. Finding her inspiration through the forest and faith, Maki imagines Earth interacting with all of the creatures, wildlife, vegetation, and natural elements to create a loose narrative of the natural flow. “The Planet we live is only one. The Earth, the ground. There exist [an] origin of Life even if we cannot see [it]. We must share this flow of Life,” Ohkojima writes on her artist page.
