Yotel Shoreditch Takes Guests on Street Art Tour of the City

The newly opened Yotel Shoreditch has started a series of events for residents and anyone else wanting to attend. The events take people on tours, to workshops, etc. to discover some of London’s most fun and creative sides.

Yotel Shoreditch is located in the heart of vibrant East London, situated between Paradise Row and the Young V&A Musuem. This creative part of town is perfect for guests to explore the different restaurants, bars and art that Shoreditch has to offer.

The hotel recently held a street art workshop that took attendees on a tour of Shoreditch’s most prolific street art and also gave them the chance to try it out for themselves. During the walking tour guests could see work by Stix, Perspicere, Banksy, Fanakapan, and more. Both old and new street art filled the tour with the guide providing context on the artist’s journeys and art style.

At the conclusion of the walking tour, all were encouraged to try it out for themselves in a workshop designed for beginner street artists. Different color spray paints and varying stencil designs allowed for guests to test their creativity and imagination. Guests also got a quick tutorial on how to properly spray the paint and some quick tricks to provide dimension to your work. The art among guests varied with some doing various delicate cherry blossoms and others taking on a bold pop art style. The event ended with all the guests checking out each other’s pieces and talking about the reasoning behind their own.

These events are continuing all summer long for Yotel Shoreditch with upcoming Mandala workshops (27 July), another street art stroll (12 August) and a glitter bar (19 August) all making a stop by the hotel. Guests both staying at the hotel and those interested in the events are encouraged to sign up and join in on the fun.
