Goldie to perform at Ronnie Scott’s – with special appearance from Annie Mac

The iconic Soho music venue welcomes the return of drum and bass hitmaker, Goldie, with James Davison as Subjective

On 31st August and 1st September, legendary live music destination Ronnie Scott’s will be hosting pioneering musician Goldie, together with revered engineer and producer James Davison – as Subjective – for four ticketed performances of their newly released album ‘The Start of No Regret’. An intimate ‘In Conversation With’, hosted by DJ and broadcaster Annie Mac, will take place before the Wednesday 31st August shows.

Celebrating his return to the iconic Frith Street venue where he last graced the stage in 2017 Goldie has worked with Ronnie Scott’s to bring Drum and Bass to live band stage, in what will undoubtedly be a very exciting night for the London music scene.

Seen as Goldie’s most collaborative venture yet, Subjective is a creative partnership with James Davidson and this new 14-track album boasts a gallery of renowned vocal collaborators and is the sound of the duo bouncing brilliant ideas between Davidson’s studio in Bournemouth and Goldie’s home in Phuket. Returning band members, Musical Director Matt Calvert, Adam Betts and John Blease will be joining the duo for the performances.

The second album from the partnership, it’s also the sound of two top-of-their-game songwriters and electronic maestros responding to 18 moody months with life-affirming adventure.

Reflecting on the new album, Goldie says, “There’s a humbleness with this. At the age of 56, to be able to make music like this, with a partner who’s really a partnership, I get to enjoy it – because the albums aren’t tied to trauma!”
