What Mama Shelter London was like
Mama Shelter opened in London on Hackney Road, between Shoreditch and Bethnal Green. It had a 160-cover restaurant, a cocktail bar, an outdoor courtyard, karaoke rooms, a gym and two event rooms. The interiors were designed with the French designers Maxime Dion and Florence Arles, with a graffiti ceiling by the French artist Beniloys and cartoon masks as lampshades. Rooms came in three sizes, called Small, Medium and Large Mama, the largest sleeping four.
