The Mandrake Launches New The YOPO Brunch

A mini retreat for the mind, The YOPO’s Brunch offers an extraordinary combination of spirituality, creative cuisine and escapism.

The newly refreshed YOPO at The Mandrake is launching a free-flowing Brunch with a spiritual twist. The immersive, mind-expanding experience brings together spiritually, decadence and high-class food, to revive the mind, body and soul and liven up a Sunday afternoon.

Available for bookings between 12pm-4pm., the brunch is priced at £65.00 per person for three courses. Guests also have the option to upgrade to free-flowing cocktails (£100.00 per person), free-flowing rosé (£110.00 per person) or free-flowing Veuve Clicquot Champagne for parties up to six people (£150.00 per person).

The YOPO Brunch experience allows guests to escape the ordinary and step into a world of mystical wonder hosted by The Mandrake’s Head of Spiritual Wellbeing, Maria Lodetoft and her team of gifted spiritual practitioners. Featuring a one question reading or an open reading of three cards, the session offers guidance and focuses on the incredible power of restoring body, mind, and soul.

Alongside, a delicious three-course brunch is served. YOPO, which recently reopened with a new look, is led by Executive Chef George Scott-Toft. The brunch menu is inspired by European-influenced South American cuisine and his travels through Argentina, Chile and Peru, as well as these intriguing cultural and creative artistic elements throughout the restaurant.

The YOPO Brunch menu features many of the restaurant’s highlight dishes. Starting with a selection of dishes for the table including Guacamole, Tomato Chipotle and Corn Chips and Crab & Apple Tostada, guests can then pick from a choice of mains. Options include a Buttermilk Fried Chicken Bun and the delicious Chorizo & Poached Egg Muffin. The vegan Spiced Cauliflower served with ratte potato is also a highlight. Each guest can then indulge with the rich, Islands Chocolate Mousse.

To tie into the spirituality of the experience, YOPO’s interiors are inspired by the jungle and featuring a number of striking artworks. Design highlights include three large candelabras, known as ‘Vestali’ – like the priestesses of Vesta, goddess of the earth, keepers of the sacred fire in ancient Rome – which appear to be ‘bursting’ out of the walls and melting. A second roof installation above diners’ heads is by artist Peter-John de Villiers and features mystical beings, therianthropes, repetitive patterns, and jungle fauna.

For guests who want to continue their spiritual journey after brunch, The Mandrake holds Sound Bath sessions every Sunday at 4pm (£35 per person).

The YOPO Brunch at The Mandrake is available on Sundays, from 12pm-4pm. Oracle Readings are available between 1pm – 3.30pm.
