Victoria Park Singers will perform on Sunday June 18th from 4-5pm at the Round Chapel, Clapton, as part of the Hackney Proms series.
The choir will perform their commissioned Requiem, by composer Benny Lee, as well as a beautiful version for choir and strings of Radio Head’s Pyramid Song, as part of a widen programme.
Hannah Brine, conductor, says: “We are really looking forward to this performance. The venue is beautiful and its always lovely to sing with string accompaniment. This is a family friendly event, so do come along!“
Hannah will also perform three of her original songs. Her latest single Don’t Dim Your Light is out this Friday, June 2nd.
Hackney Proms String Quartet is led by Kate Conway, artistic director of the Hackney proms and professional violinist. She is joined by diverse professionals from around London who enjoy the vibe and ethos of bringing a wide variety of music to the Hackney Proms audience. The strings will perform with Hannah Brine and Victoria Park Singers, and also present string arrangements of songs by Nina Simone.
