From Saturday 23rd March, The Gantry hotel in Stratford is teaming up with award-winning inclusive British Afghan Smokehouse Cue Point Ldn for an Iftar Saturday Supper Club series, launching to coincide with Ramadan and Solar New Year.
Taking quintessentially British classics and infusing them with Afghan flavour profiles using global BBQ methodologies, Cue Point Ldn has built up a huge following across the city with fans travelling far and wide for their mouth-watering, fusion BBQ inspired dishes. Now coming to Stratford for the first time, Cue Point will take over the hotel’s first first floor restaurant, Union Social over three weekends, serving sharing style BBQ feasts that are perfect for the traditional fast-breaking meal, Iftar.
Large cuts of meat like Oak Smoked Beef Ribs and Oak Smoked Chicken will be served alongside side like cheesy baked potato mash in saffron butter, or smoked beets and a sumac and lemon pickled red onion vinaigrette, and cheesy smoked leeks with pomegranate molasses dressing. Also on offer will be Afghan naan with smoked aubergine and Afghan Dumplings with a twist, served with yogurt Afghan chutney and a red lentil traditional sauce.
Taking place on Saturday 23rd March, Saturday 30th March & Saturday 6th April, at 6.30pm (based on Iftar times).
