Fashion and beauty photographer TOMAAS often deals with the subjects in a dramatic, surreal manner that highlights the vibrancy of the scene. Each photograph is a narrative into the artistic project at hand, with each revealing a high-attention to detail and often resemble cinematic images. In his fashion editorial “Sins of Jezebel,” TOMAAS distorts the female figure in order to accomplish this. He highlights areas of beauty by alienating the viewers focus on a specific area while the rest have been manipulated past the point of recognition. Using dark neutral tones of black and blue with lighting to highlight his focused areas, perhaps the title of the work reveals the project’s content to be routed in the story of Jezebel and her sinful behavior shadowed by her beauty.
