80 Studios presents The Vinyl Factory: REVERB, a major multimedia exhibition celebrating the fusion of art and sound. In the largest show of its kind, The Vinyl Factory brings together over 100 artists and musicians working across visual arts, music, film and live performance.
Featuring 18 audio-visual installations including new site-specific commissions by Theaster Gates, Es Devlin, Julianknxx and Caterina Barbieri; UK premieres by Kahlil Joseph, Stan Douglas, Virgil Abloh and Cecilia Bengolea; plus existing works by Jeremy Deller, William Kentridge, Jenn Nkiru, Hito Steyerl, Carsten Nicolai and Gabriel Moses.
New York artist Devon Turnbull’s Listening Room will provide a meditative space within the exhibition to listen to an evolving programme of unheard music, including exclusive test pressings and studio outtakes.
An installation of 100 rare vinyl records will also be displayed in a new space designed by Ben Kelly, including releases by Nan Goldin, Pipilotti Rist, Mica Levi, Marina Abramovic, Grace Jones, Yussef Dayes, Fred Again, Ragnar Kjartansson, Massive Attack, Daft Punk, The xx and many more.
