The UK’s largest Japanese culture festival, HYPER JAPAN, is returning to Olympia Events and is set to be the biggest yet. The 20th edition of the festival will take place from 19 – 21 July 2024 with over 350 exhibitors showcasing the best that Japanese culture has to offer!
This year’s performer lineup features some of the most talented and beloved artists. Attendees can look forward to special talk shows and performances by incredible talents such as Romi Park, Tonikaku, Who-ya Extended, RAM RIDER, Akase Akari, and many more!
Premium Sake Experience
One of the festival’s highlights is the popular HYPER SAKE STREET, where visitors can explore over 35 types of sake. For an enhanced experience, the Premium Sake ticket offers access to a dedicated tasting session complete with canapés. This exclusive opportunity allows attendees to sample a curated selection of premium sakes, providing a deeper appreciation of this traditional Japanese beverage.
Food and Drink Delights
Food enthusiasts will be thrilled with the variety of Japanese street food and sweets available. Free food sampling and delicious food stalls will feature beloved Japanese brands such as MIO Sparkling Sake Station, Calbee, KEWPIE, Unisnacks and Suntory. This year’s festival promises a fantastic lineup of Japanese food and drink exhibitors that will surely delight your taste buds.
Workshops and Cultural Activities
Throughout the festival, there will be numerous exciting workshops, including Sumi Painting, Manga Drawing, Fusion Furoshiki, and Cookie Decoration. These hands-on activities offer a unique chance to learn traditional Japanese crafts and skills. Additionally, attendees can enjoy a Cosplay Show and Fashion Show, held on both Saturday and Sunday.
Interactive Campaigns and Collaborations
HYPER JAPAN has collaborated with a TikTok star MIOCHIN (2.9 followers) and started a new campaign this year, HYPERDANCECHALLENGE. Participants can join the challenge starting from June 20th – July 21st. The rule is simple- learn the dance, film, and share a dancing video on TikTok or Instagram. On the day of the festival, participants will receive limited edition MIOCHIN-designed stickers and a special HYPER JAPAN tote bag.
