This festive season, Westfield London’s iconic ice rink returns with a tropical flair, in celebration of Disney’s Moana 2. From 15th November 2024 to 5th January 2025, visitors will be transported to the vibrant world of Oceania as the ice rink in Westfield Square brings the spirit of the Pacific islands to life. As Moana 2 arrives in UK cinemas on 29th November, skaters can immerse themselves in the film’s themes of adventure and discovery, while enjoying the festive atmosphere.
The ice rink, spanning an impressive 1,000m², is the ultimate winter destination for families and friends, where the warmth of the Pacific Islands meets seasonal fun. At its heart stands Europe’s tallest Christmas tree on an ice rink, soaring 65 feet high and adorned with intricate island-inspired details, evoking the beauty of the Pacific Islands and the adventurous spirit of Moana’s journey across the seas.
As skaters take to the ice, they will glide beneath the towering Christmas tree, surrounded by the magical atmosphere of Oceania, seamlessly blended into a winter wonderland. Special Moana 2-themed events will offer skaters unique opportunities to experience the spirit of the film, celebrating the themes of courage, adventure and exploration.
Catering to all ages and abilities, the ice rink will feature sessions for toddlers, families, and individuals with additional needs. Skating aids will be available, ensuring that even children as young as three can join in the fun. Sessions start at just £11.00 for 45 minutes and are available seven days a week from 10am to 9pm.
Beyond the ice, visitors can continue their Pacific Island inspired adventure by exploring nearby leisure spots and restaurants, including Ichiba and Westwood Sports Pub & Kitchen. Alternatively, they can enjoy activities such as City Bouldering, Puttshack, and All Star Lanes for an action-packed day out.
