Mama Shelter in Shoreditch is kicking off this year’s series of Supper Clubs with Emily Yeoh, co-founder of hot sauce brand Two Hot Asians.
On 29th January, Mama Shelter x Two Hot Asians will be ringing in the Lunar New Year with an evening of delicious food, flowing drinks and buzzing energy as Mama Shelter London rings in the year of the Earth Snake.
On the menu there will be a spread of sharing starters, including succulent pork and mushroom dumplings, deliciously moreish sesame prawn toast and a vibrant chilled vermicelli noodle prosperity salad followed by an epic Hainanese style roast chicken with steamed rice, cucumber garnish, Two Hot Asian’s sambal, ginger scallion sauce and chicken fat broth. To round off the experience, there will be pandan tres leches cake – a sweet delight for dessert lovers.
Tickets must be booked in advance and cost £49 per person, including a three-course meal served in Mama Shelter London’s show kitchen area which has full view of the kitchen, where you can watch Emily rustling up the tasty dishes live from 7pm to 10pm. The signature cocktail for the evening will be a HanaKotoba – a tasty and punchy mix of Absolut vodka, plum wine and lychee.
Born and raised in London to a Chinese-Malay/Thai father and British mother, Emily grew up with a great combination of East and West flavours on the dinner table that cemented a deep-rooted love for cooking. This inspired her to launch the hot sauce brand, Two Hot Asians, which was born out of conversations between friends reminiscing about the food they would eat growing up and the wonderful homemade sauces that their parents would make.
