Ministry of Sound Launches Sober Rave Series with DRIIA Leading the Charge

London’s nightlife is evolving. Ministry of Sound is stepping into the sober-curious movement with a brand-new daytime rave series launching on May 11, 2025. The club, long known for its legendary nights, is now redefining the scene with a dry day rave experience. With rising star DRIIA at the helm, this new series invites ravers to embrace music, movement, and energy—without the alcohol.

A New Era for London’s Club Scene

Sober raving isn’t just a trend—it’s a cultural shift. More Londoners are exploring nightlife without alcohol, and Ministry of Sound is responding with a dedicated sober rave series. Running quarterly until November 2025, this initiative builds on the success of previous alcohol-free events like Ecstatic Disco and Dry Disco.

DRIIA, the BBC Radio 1 Future Star, brings an ethereal blend of UKG, Jungle, and Breaks, offering an electrifying soundtrack for this new experience. Supported by Main Phase, Turno, and Jaguar, she champions the idea that clubbing can be just as immersive—if not more—without alcohol.

Sober Raving with a Custom Mocktail Experience

No alcohol? No problem. Ministry of Sound is rolling out an exclusive mocktail menu curated by bar manager Laura Andrijauskaitė, a specialist in low- and no-alcohol drinks. Available from February 2025, the selection includes:

  • CBD-infused drinks from Trip
  • Low-alcohol functional spirits from Smiling Wolf
  • Wine alternatives from Real.co
  • 0% beer options from Lucky Saint

This carefully crafted non-alcoholic selection proves that sober nightlife is anything but boring.

Why Ministry of Sound Is Embracing the Sober-Curious Movement

According to Matt Long, Club Director at Ministry of Sound, this series is about creating a more inclusive clubbing experience. “Our egalitarian roots have always led to positive change,” he explains. “For the growing number of us who are ‘sober curious,’ we know what our patrons want—more inclusive nightlife experiences.”

DRIIA echoes this sentiment. “For me, the focus is showing that sobriety doesn’t impinge on enjoyment—it enhances it,” she says. “Dancing isn’t something that should be mutually exclusive with drinking.”

This series isn’t about replacing traditional raving. It’s about offering a new way to experience music, connection, and community—without the hangover.
