Brace yourselves, Britain—Tim Minchin is back. The irreverent, hilariously insightful, and occasionally tear-jerking musical genius is hitting the road in 2025 for his brand-new tour, “Songs The World Will Never Hear”. It marks two glorious decades since the wild-haired, piano-thrashing wordsmith first set foot on UK stages, and fans can expect nothing short of an electrifying trip down memory lane.
Tim Minchin’s Return: 20 Years of Nerdy Rock ‘n’ Roll Chaos
For those who’ve been along for the ride since Minchin’s 2005 UK debut, this tour will be a nostalgia-fueled celebration of his greatest musical moments. The setlist will span three decades of razor-sharp, thought-provoking songwriting—expect comedy classics, existential crises in lyrical form, festive ballads about dysfunctional Christmases, and of course, that song about boobs.
The tour kicks off on 4 June 2025 at Soho Theatre Walthamstow before winding through 18 cities, including Birmingham, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Manchester, Brighton, and more. It all culminates in an epic finale at Eventim Apollo Hammersmith on 4 July 2025.
Minchin’s last tour, Back, sold out major venues worldwide, so if you think tickets for this one will hang around, think again.
Comedy Meets Music: A Night of Genius and Chaos
Minchin has always thrived in the space between musical brilliance and comedic anarchy. His career has seen him sell out the London Palladium, write the lyrics and music for the Olivier-winning Matilda the Musical, and create the criminally underrated Groundhog Day musical. He’s also lent his acting chops to TV and film, but at his core, he’s still that barefoot bloke on a piano.
His live shows are a mix of mind-meltingly good music, fast-firing wit, and honest storytelling. This time, he’s taking audiences on a deep dive through his musical journey, exploring how a Perth-based cabaret pianist transformed into an internationally acclaimed artist.
A Tour With a Heart (And Premium VIP Perks)
In true Minchin fashion, this tour isn’t just about entertainment; it’s about giving back. A limited number of VIP seats will be available at each show, with £5,000 per night donated to local charities. VIP guests will also get their hands on exclusive signed merchandise—a little piece of Minchin magic to take home.
