Room at the monopoly themed office

Monopoly Dreams and London Schemes: The Liverpool Street Office You’ll Actually Want to Work In

OSiT’s Monopoly themed flexible office gets a brilliant revamp for the board game’s 90th anniversary—complete with vaults, dice, and a speakeasy bar.

Let’s be honest—no one grows up dreaming of fluorescent-lit cubicles or lifeless Zoom calls. But a Monopoly-themed office where you can roll into a meeting in the Dice Room, sip a post-work negroni in Mr M’s Cabinet of Curiosities, and even flex in the on-site gym? Now we’re talking.

Office Space in Town (OSiT), one of London’s quirkiest flexible office providers, has just taken things up a serious notch. Their Liverpool Street location—already iconic thanks to its homage to everyone’s favourite passive-aggressive family board game—has undergone a bold refurbishment and expansion. The timing couldn’t be better, either. With the return-to-office movement picking up steam and 2025 marking the 90th anniversary of Monopoly, this is office space with play, purpose, and a pinch of power moves.

Liverpool Street Just Got a Lot More Playful (and Powerful)

This isn’t just a lick of paint and a new kettle in the kitchen. This is a full-on reinvention, delivered by interior maestros Sam Kopsch Studio and workplace wizards Area.

The upgraded 10,000 sq. ft. space at 46 New Broad Street—a stone’s throw from Liverpool Street Station (yes, one of the four Monopoly stations)—now includes seven shiny new office units and 63 additional desks. That’s a near 20% desk capacity boost. And yes, they’re already fully booked. Turns out the demand for creative and themed workspaces in London is hotter than Mayfair rent.

A London Office Where You Can Go (Literally) to “GO”

Step inside and you’re greeted by the iconic Monopoly “GO” sign—your first clue that this isn’t your average City workspace. The office has the Shoreditch’s coworking space vibe is immersive yet professional, bridging East London’s design edge with City slicker functionality.

From stylised flooring to thematic ceiling finishes, the economic inspiration of Monopoly gets a full-blown design treatment. And because this is London, and we do like our meeting rooms, OSiT has added five new ones—bringing the total to 12. Every single one is a tribute to the board game’s iconic squares.

Highlights? The Dice Room boasts a custom 3D-printed wooden ceiling. The Bank Room channels vault-core realness. And the Electric Company shines bright with a bespoke installation featuring 50 lightbulbs.

Naturally, each room includes all the mod cons: ceiling mics, anti-glare screens, and enough tech to make your AV guy weep with joy.

Networking Just Got a Soundtrack

The cherry on this Boardwalk sundae? A speakeasy-style games room called Mr M’s Cabinet of Curiosities. Equal parts quirky and cool, it features a pool table, bar, and sound system—perfect for those post-work socials or midday creative slumps. (No judgment here.)

And because no Shoreditch-adjacent office is complete without some wellness clout, OSiT added a gym, cardio and weight equipment, showers, lockers, five call booths, and even new bike storage for the carbon-conscious commuter.

Now that’s how you make a commute worth it.

A Green Office That’s Also Kinda Gold

Don’t let the Monopoly theme fool you. Behind the playful design is a serious commitment to sustainability.

The refurb includes CO₂ monitors to optimise oxygen levels, LED and motion-sensor lighting to curb energy waste, and intelligent heating and cooling systems to keep things just right (Goldilocks would approve).

OSiT has clearly made it their mission to prove that green building design doesn’t have to be beige or boring. And in a City full of cold glass towers and lifeless grey desks, that’s worth celebrating.

A Monopoly on London’s Creative Office Scene

For Giles Fuchs, Co-Founder and Chairman of OSiT, the upgrade is a signal of intent. With investment in flexible workspaces skyrocketing—£1.02 billion by Q3 2024, to be exact—there’s real momentum behind creative office spaces that go beyond “hot desking.”

As he puts it, “The refurbishment of our Liverpool Street location is just one example of how we are capitalising on the return to office movement.” And from the looks of it, they’re not stopping anytime soon.

This office is now one of five imaginative spaces operated by OSiT across central London, alongside their Alice in Wonderland-inspired St Paul’s site and nautical-themed digs in Waterloo. That’s right—London’s office scene just got a lot more storybook.

Shoreditch Meets Monopoly: The Flex Space Mashup We Didn’t Know We Needed

With its Monopoly makeover, tech-savvy upgrades, and cheeky speakeasy twist, OSiT Liverpool Street feels like a microcosm of Shoreditch energy meeting City ambition. It’s creative, immersive, and just the right amount of eccentric. A little Pall Mall, a little Old Kent Road, but make it premium.

As workers head back to the office in increasing numbers, places like this aren’t just setting the bar—they’re flipping the game board entirely. No banker top hat required.

So, next time you pass Liverpool Street Station, remember: behind those stylish walls might just be the only meeting room in London where you’ll want to roll the dice.
