Sleepwalk Immersive is bringing CAESAR, a version of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar set among gangsters in 1940s Chinatown, to Hoxton Hall from Tuesday 23 February to 21 March 2027. Tickets went on sale on 2 November.
The show takes over all four floors of the Victorian music hall on Hoxton Street. Audiences can move freely through the building and follow whichever characters they choose, from Caesar himself to the conspirators plotting to kill him.
“Sleepwalk Immersive has always been about creating worlds that audiences can step into and make their own,” Sebastian Huang, who founded the company in 2022, told Theatre Weekly.
After Bacchanalia
It is the company’s second co-production with Hoxton Hall. Its last show there, Bacchanalia, set Euripides’ The Bacchae in the psychedelic 1960s and was named by The Stage as one of its top 50 UK shows of 2023. Sleepwalk says the 2025 run at Hoxton Hall sold out.
“Bacchanalia began as a one-man show, so returning to the venue with an entirely new production feels particularly exciting,” Huang said.
Tickets start at £54, according to the listings site Immersive Rumours, and are sold through Hoxton Hall’s website.
