G: Tell us about your business: What do you do? What did inspire you to start?
Avant Garde Hair salon has been established about 7 years now.
I wanted to create a Hair Salon in my living room so I could have everyone coming to me Chill Out nd have a cup of Tea/Coffee But my Bf thought I was delusional ,lol
So I decided to open a Boutique/Living room style Hair Salon where all my clients will feel like home and relaxed while having they hair done.
I’m specialised in Cutting Men’s and woman’s Hair and also Creating the latest hair Colours and Style.
I am also trained in (Yuko Hair straightening ) Japanese Hair straightening, worked for the flagship Salon in Mayfair for few years before opening my own salon.
G: What is innovative / unique about what you do?
The costumer Care, making sure we Understand what the client want so we can achieve
the best Hair style or Colour that will suit they hair and also they life style.
G: What would you say has been your most memorable experience while developing your business?
Finding the Right Place and Concept ,Looking for that perfect Location
Also Net working with the local Businesses.
What were the most successful or unique projects?
Working for some Project for Vogue,London Fashion week …
G: Why do you choose Shoreditch to run your business?
I was inspired by Shoreditch as it reminded me of East Village In NYC,
where I used to live before moving to London. Love the whole Arty and the Freedom of expression that people have in Shoreditch.
G: Who/what are your favorite CEOs/Businesses in Shoreditch?
Launderette Clothes Store on Brick Lane for they Unique Clothes Line
And for Food and Cocktails I would have to say Beach Blanket Babylon.
G: What are your favorite places in Shoreditch?
I love Brick lane Market on Sunday …walking around and discovering new Café’s and people watching at a table on Shoreditch Box roof top.
G: What does the future has in store for your business?
Expend my business and still Create some Awesome work at the salon.
